Rina brings with her more than 15 years of both corporate and entrepreneurial experience. A Computer Science graduate with an MBA, Rina is a proven leader and change agent in delivering multi million dollars in return in investment.
She is highly experienced in strategic marketing, business development, investor relations and high-level negotiations.
Rina is currently Co-founder of Mercatus Capital Pte Ltd, which has been a homegrown incubator and venture accelerator since its inception in 2006.
Rina currently holds strategic management roles, directorships and equities in some Mercatus portfolios and Managing Director for Mercatus Capital S/B and Chief Strategy Office (CSO) for www.zaprad.com, The World’s First Cloud Based Radiologist Business Centre.
Rina was also appointed by UTAR as their Industrial Advisor to private and public sectors especially in developing countries. She is experienced in the establishment of “Greenfield” businesses in Asian countries, especially East Timor, Malaysia and Philippines.
Through its angel networks, Mercatus Group provides seed capital to these startups and till now, Mercatus Group has seeded and incubated more than 40 startups in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, India, China and Hong Kong.
An avid photographer, a traveller, Rina spends most of her free time engaging in social media and volunteerism. She currently works with a private group in manila to create programs to help the “charcoal kids”. Born and raised in Penang, Rina still think that Penang food is the best.
