Chief Executive, NZ VENTURE INVESTMENT FUND
Franceska Banga has led the NZ Venture Investment Fund since its inception in 2001, overseeing partnerships with eight venture capital funds, 15 angel investment networks, and direct and indirect investment by NZVIF into over 120 young companies.
This has helped to catalyse $500 million of public and private investment into those companies.
She has taken a leading role in establishing world-class architecture for early stage investing in NZ, initiating the policy drive to establish the Limited Partnership legislation, advising on tax and regulatory policy and serving on the NZ Capital Markets Taskforce.
She is also a Director of Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development Ltd and The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, and serves on the Advisory Committee of the International Public Policy Forum on Venture Capital.
